What is Live by the Word?

In Summer 2010, Trust and Obey began as a weekdaily email by Pastor Chad Davis as a response to the sermon series through Genesis. Each entry contains two brief passages of Scripture and a devotional thought about each: the first Scripture contains a particular promise or declaration that should serve as an encouragement as we trust it as a true word from our Father; the second Scripture contains a particular instruction or command that should serve to spur us on to obedience.

Beginning in 2011, the weekdaily email began focusing on a single passage of Scripture. "Christians live by their attention to God's word.  If we want to know God, we must look to His word.  If we want to know ourselves, we must look to His word.  If we want to know Christ, we must look to His word.  If we want to know how we should live, we must look to His word.  In short, we need the word."
